SproutPearl Sprouter

The SproutPearl sprouter by FRESH SPROUTS is produced in Denmark. The plastic is food approved and free of phthalates, color and BPA.
This Danish sprouter is completely transparent in the lid and seed tray, while the lower bottom is ‘frosted’. The container is round and 18 cm in diameter. Each part is 4 cm in height + 1 cm for ‘feet’ at the bottom, which lifts the tray from the table and ensures ventilation under it.

The middle seed tray can hold up to 6 handfuls of sprouts in total per tray. The seed tray has a fixed partition. Thus, you can either grow two different varieties at the same time in the tray, or you can grow your sprouts in each half staggered in time. It gives you ample opportunity to harvest your sprouts when it suits you.

You can choose to purchase several loose seed trays, which you insert into the SproutPearl. This way you can grow even more sprouts or microgreens with up to 5 layers in the same sprout tray.

Organic Sprouting Seeds for the Sprouter Kit

In this Sprouter Kit there is 4 portion seed bags with organic sprouting seeds. Each bag contain a seed amount that fit ½ SproutPearl seed tray. Each serving bag will grow into 1-3 handfuls of mature sprouts.

The sprouting seeds are EU-certified organic, tested free from harmful bacteria and approved for cultivation of sprouts and microgreens.

The bags have labels that show the taste, cultivation time and color of the sprout. You will also find links to more information about the sprout on each label.

The selection of seeds for the Sproter Kit start package is:
EASY – Pea, Mung Bean, Red Lentil, Green Lentil, Chickpeas are grown for 2-3 days until they get a short, white root.
MEDIUM – Broccoli, Fenugreek, Endive, Lucerne, Red clover, White clover, Rose radish, Chinese radish, Violet radish, Sunflower are grown for 6-7 days until they get leaves.

Biodegradable sponge

In your Sprouter Kit you also get an environmentally friendly cleaning sponge. The Sprouter SproutPearl is dishwasher safe on a plastic program, but sprouts do not like soap residues. Therefore, I recommend that you wash your SproutPearl by hand as often as possible using this sponge. The sponge is white, 100% biodegradable and environmentally friendly. The sponge is produced from wood fibers – cellulose – but it does not scratch your sprout tray.

It is a good rule of thumb, that you only use the sponge for your Sprouter. This way you will not transfer bacteria into your sprouter from other tasks. You should also use only allergy-friendly dishwashing detergent for your sprouter. That type of soap contains no harmful substances to your sprouts. Rinse with warm water, squeeze the sponge and let it dry. With this generous treatment, your Sponge lasts for many months.

Aerator for Sprout cultivation

The Aerator is a smart adapter for your faucet / Kitchen tap. With this aerator you can set the water jets to be gentle on your sprouts.
You choose between a white / chrome or a completely white Aerator in your Sprouter Kit.

Both versions are German produced, so they are of good quality. The difference between the two aerators is, that the Chrome / White variety has a head with a chrome surface. The white one has a white head of hard plastic. Both have plastic threads to attach the aerator on the faucet.

Both colors of the water saving faucet aerator are the same size. They are made to fit kitchen faucets that follow the set EU standards. However, I recommend, that you always measure the size of the thread on your faucet, before buying your new aerator water swivel. That way, you are sure it fits your kitchen faucet.

The size of the outer thread must be: 2.1 cm
The size of the inner thread should be: 2.3 cm

Seed reminder for the Sprout Kit

The Seed Reminder in the Sprout Kit is a transparent chip made from plastic. The purpose is that you place the chip over the middle partition inside your SproutPearl seed tray. The chip will stay there throughout the cultivation of your sprouts.

The Seed Reminder has the number 1 on one half and 2 on the other. The purpose is that you write on the accompanying cards what you grow in each half of the tray.

It is important to remember what you are growing, as not all sprouts need to be grown for the same length of time. With the Seed Reminder you can easily see what you are growing in your tray and thus when the sown sprouts should be harvested.

You can reuse the Seed Reminder many times as you can take it out of the tray, clean it and put it down over the partition again and again.

The difference between the two is that the Chrome / White here is a head with a chrome surface. The white one has a white head. Both have plastic threads. Please note that to fit the Aerator on your kitchen tap, your tap thread should be: Outer thread 2.1 cm or Inner thread 2.3 cm.

WATER SAVING FAUCET AERATOR

The water saving faucet aerator is an adapter for your kitchen faucet. This is smart, because it allows you to adapt the water jet from the kitchen faucet to either be collected or spread into several thin jets. That way, your sprouts and microgreens will not be broken by too hard jets of water or by splashing water from the tap when you rinse your sprouts.

THREAD TYPE AND THREAD SIZE

Both colors of the water saving faucet aerator are the same size. They fit kitchen faucets that follow the set EU standards. However, it is a good idea to measure the size of the thread on your faucet, before buying your new aerator water swivel. That way, you are sure it fits your kitchen faucet.

The size of the outer thread must be: 2.1 cm
The size of the inner thread should be: 2.3 cm

Most taps are made with external threads – taps where there is a thread on the outside of the tap itself. There is a loose thread adapter for the product in the package, so if you have an internal thread, then the aerator can still be installed.

360 DEGREE ROTARY BALL HEAD

The water saving faucet aerator can rotate 360 ​​degrees around its ball head in all directions. This makes it easy for you to adjust the water flow, so it can flush your sprouts or microgreens at just the angle you want for the task. It is also smart in your daily dish washing. Therefore, just leave the aerator on the kitchen tap. The total water jet is more air-filled than your normal water jet from the tap, so it can save a little on the water in everyday life.

INSTALLATION OF YOUR NEW WATER SWIVEL

The water swivel is a filter swivel that is easy to screw on your kitchen faucet by hand. You may need tools to unscrew your current aerator from the tap, or you may need to clean old lime from the thread. But then it is easy to screw on the new aerator.

CLEANING THE WATER SAVING FAUCET AERATOR

You can clean both versions of the aerator with a mild, liquid lime remover made for coffee mashines. Do not use harsh lime removers or other types of harsh chemicals for the aerator, as the chrome plating may become discolored.

EU-CERTIFIED AERATOR

The kitchen faucet swivel is produced in Germany. It are approved for kitchen faucets in accordance with EU rules for drinking water adapters and food contact.
