CELLULOSE SPONGE BIODEGRADABLE & ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY

This cellulose sponge from 100% biodegradable cellulose is environmentally friendly. The white cellulose cleaning sponge is made from wood fibers. Therefore, it does not emit microplastics to the environment. Instead, you can enjoy the fact that tree cellulose is completely degradable as the material comes from all natural plants.

LONG LASTING CELLULOSE SPONGE

A cellulose sponge can last for many months if you treat it well. The trick is that you let it dry out between each time you clean your SproutPearl sprouter with it. When dry, the sponge becomes stiff. To make it soft again, simply soak it in warm water before washing your sprout tray with it.
Also only use normal, parfume free and environmentally friendly dish washing soap for your sprouter. That way no unwanted substances are left in the corners for your sprouts to grow in.

STERILIZE THE PLANT BASED SPONGE

It is a good idea to sterilize the sponge once a month. For this you can pour boiling water over the sponge and let it sit in the hot ‘bath’ for some minutes. Do not wringe the sponge as that will break the fibres. In stead simply press the water gently from it and set it to dry. This way the sponge is all clean and ready to use again for your sprouter.

COMPOSTABLE CELLULOSE SPONGE

This cellulose sponge is compostable as it is made from 100% biodegradable plant fibre. This makes the sponge very environmentally friendly and sustainable. This it is a good choice for you if you wish to avoid micro plast deposits, when you wash the SproutPearl sprouter.

To deposit this plant based sponge, you can simply put it in the green, bio waste bin. The sponge will degrade as easily as other fibre rich plant material in the plant bio bag.
