Please note, that Radish develop very fine roots that look like mould during the first 3-4 days of cultivation. You can eat the roots on sprouts. On microgreens you may find the roots are too long to eat and so ypu can cut them of as you harvest the plants.

Your home-grown microgreens of Rose radish has a delicious taste of newly harvested radish. Their taste is not as strong as Red radish, but it is still so full, that you only need a few to fill your taste buds. They will go well as taste decor in most green dishes as a spicy ingredient in sandwiches, green salads, dips and wraps.

If your kitchen temperature is 18-23 ° C / 64-73 ° F, your Rose radish sprouts should be ready for harvest after 6 days of cultivation. You can use both the SproutPearl sprouter or any of the other spouters in this webshop to cultivate these seeds, as Rose Radish is a very easy seed to cultivate. You should harvest the plants no earlier than after day 6 of the cultivation, when it has developed leaves.

NAMES

Rose Radish belong to the bothanical family of Brassicaceae. The Latin name for this beautiful variety is Raphanus sativus.

TASTE

Rose Radish has a strong taste of fresh, young summer radishes. So they will easily spice up a dish and should not be eaten on an empty stomach.

LOOKS

Rose Radish are just 15 cm long as sprouts from root tip to leaf top. As microgreens they are 20 cm long. They are pink, green and white.

NUTRIENTS

Rose radish microgreens and sprouts contain the nutrients: A, C, B1, B3, B6, B9 and Copper, Magnesium, Folate, Phosphorus, Manganese.

EDIBLE PARTS

Rose Radish sprouts and microgreens form root hairs that resemble mould. Do not worry. They are just roots and eadible at all stages.

TIME

How to grow Organic Rose Radish Sprouts and Microgreens

Measure out the right amount of your organic Rose Radish seeds. Each half of the SproutPearl needs 4 gram seeds.

Soak the Rose Radish seeds in fresh, cold, drinking water in a clean glass for 8 hours. Place the glass in shade.

Pour the Rose Radish seeds into your SproutPearl seed tray after soaking and rinse with clean, cool water.

Put the seed tray into the SproutPearl and place it on your clean kitchen counter out of hot sun or cold draft.

Rinse your Rose Radish seeds and plants every morning and evening, until they are at your desired growth stage.

Your Rose Radish sprouts are mature after 6 days. Your Radish microgreens are ready for harvest after 14 days.

MOULD OR ROOTS

Radish develop very fine, thin and white roots. They look like mould for the first 2-4 days of growth.

But they are only roots and are actually sign, that your sprouts are healthy and have enough moisture.

China Rose Radish contain a lot of taste. One 15 cm long sprout actually have as much taste as a fully grown radish.
