Microgreen Pea Shoot Kit

This kit gives you everything you need to grow your own organic Pea shoots at home.

The peas in your new kit are 100% organic and non-GMO. Like all the seeds in the FRESH SPROUTS shop, the peas are food approved and certified for sprouting. It ensures you bacteria-tested and germinating peas that you can eat raw after cultivation.

Tips for Pea Shoots

Pea shoots do not need fertilizer. Peas are unique in that they absorb nitrogen from the air. Therefore, they do not need either fertilizer or soil to grow into delicious, crispy pea shoots in your sprout box. For the same reason, there is no fertilizer included in this Pea Shot Kit. All you have to do to grow the peas into delicious pea shoots is rinse them morning and night.

Space between the peas

Tip 2
Note that it is very important that there is some space between the peas when you want to grow them for pea shoots. This is because the peas rot if they lie close together for more than the 3 days that it takes you to grow pea sprouts. So if you want to grow your peas for pea shoots, you should thin them out a bit on day 3 so that the peas all lie in a layer and have a bit of air between each other.

Remove bad peas

Tip 3
There will always be a few peas that can not cope with the long growing time all the way to Pea shoots. You can recognize the ‘weak’ peas by chopping the pea. If you find such a pea during cultivation, remove it from the tray and rinse the tray afterwards so that the area is cleared of debris. The other peas continue to grow without problems. If you experience a lot of bad peas in the tray, it is typically due to the peas growing too densely. The solution is to leave more space around each pea in the tray if you want to grow them for pea shoots. This way they will be able to get rid of excess moisture and heat.

Microgreen Tray SproutPearl

Microgreen Tray SproutPearl is a Danish design sprouter with 1 Lid, 1 Seed tray and 1 bottom. You can this Microgreen tray for both sprout and microgreen cultivation. This sprouter is Danish design and produced in Denmark. The SproutPearl is round and made from transparent BPA-free plast.

Parts in the Microgreen device

The SproutPearl Microgreen Tray consists of three parts: 1 bottom, 1 seed tray and 1 top.
The seed tray has a fixed partition. Because if this you can grow different sprouts in each half. You can also grow your favorite sprouts offset, so you start one half day 1 and the other half day 4. This is how you have fresh sprouts for food all the time.
Each seed tray gives you two large handfuls of sprouts in each half of the seed tray.

Transparent sprouter for your homegrown plants

The SproutPearl is a completely colorless and transparent microgreen container. You will notice, that both the middle part seed tray and the top part lid are transparent. Only the lower part – the bottom tray – is matt on the outside. This bottom tray is where the roots grow into as the plants grow bigger. This design and transparency is nice for you, as it will let you see the sprouts very easily.

Small Microgreen Tray for your Kitchen

This Microgreen Tray is small enough to fit in any kitchen. The sprouting device is 12 cm high as each tray is 4 cm high and 18 cm in diameter. You can add seed trays – the middle parts – to the container and build it even higher if you wish.

Easy to clean Microgreen Tray

SproutPearl Microgreen tray is very easy to clean. You cimply wash it by hand with a soft, clean sponge, dish soap and 30-40 degrees C hot water. For a suitable sponge, I recommend the environmentally friendly Cellulose Sponge from plant fibers >

As you can reuse this Microgreen device again and again for several years, it is quite environment friendly even though it is made from plastic. The SproutPearl is produced in Denmark with all the high environment standards that apply in our country.The plastic can be remelted and used for other purposes if needed.
