TIPS FOR YOUR SUNFLOWER
SPROUTS & MICROGREENS
MOULD OR ROOTS
Sunflower develop thin, white roots that resemble mould for the first 2-4 days of growth. After that they grow thicker and look more like roots.
These thin root hairs are natural and you cannot stop them from forming.
So just keep rinsing morning and evening. If you wish you can eat the roots too.

UNHULLING
Sunflower needs to grow from whole seeds covered by tightly fit hulls. That way the soft seed inside is intact.
To easily rid of the hulls, you can grow the sunflower sprouts in a SproutPearl sprouter.
In this sprouter you can keep the sprouts moist, so they shed their hulls naturally during growth.
