Alfalfa sprouts and microgreens are also known as Lucerne. The two are the same plant and Latin name for this plant is Medicago sativa.
TASTE
Alfalfa has a very neutral taste like green iceberg lettuce as both sprout and microgreens. The taste is sweeter the more light, you give the plants.
LOOKS
Alfalfa / Lucerne is a fragile looking little sprout. As a mature sprout it is 10 cm long from root tip to leaf top. It is green and white.
