Fresh Sunflower Sprout Smoothie
Ingredients
- 20 g Sunflower seeds for Sprouts
- ½ ripe banana
- ½ organic lemon
- ½ ripe avocado
- 1 tsp of sesame seeds
- 2 handfuls of fresh spinach leaves
- 5 fresh blueberries
- ½ kiwifruit
- 1 cup rice milk
Instructions
- Soak the sunflower sprouting seeds in water for 8 hours. Grow your sunflower seeds for sprouts in yoiur SproutPearl or another sprouter until they get leaves after 6-8 days.
- When the Sunflower sprouts have unfolded their leaves and the leaves are beautifully green, move them into a bowl of cold water.
- After 10 minutes in the water, the shells detach from the sprouts and are now easy to remove. You cannot eat the hard shells. You can however eat the raw roots, stems and leaves in your smoothie. Change the water several times to get the sprouts completely clean.
- Squeeze the juice of the lemon and pour it into the blender with the other ingredients. Save some sprouts, kiwi and all 5 blueberries for decoration. You can decorate with edible flowers if the smoothie is to be served for a festive occasion.
- Pour the smoothie into a nice bowl, garnish and serve immediately to get the best benefit from your vitamins and antioxidants.
