Both sizes of plants taste of fresh broccoli and are rich in antioxidants. They are delicious in juice, smoothie, salad, sandwiches etc.
40 gr seeds provide 30 handfuls of fresh broccoli sprouts or 40 handfuls of crispy microgreens.
You can use both the SproutPearl sprouter or the Ceramic Sprout Tray to cultivate the seeds. The Broccoli seeds should be cultivated, until they unfold their green leaves to get the most crisp bite and soft taste.
Sprouting Time for Organic Broccoli Seeds
If your kitchen temperature is 18-23 °C / 64-73 °F, then your Sprouts should be ready for harvest after just 7 days of cultivation.

Broccoli can be cultivated to both Sprouts and Microgreens in your kitchen all year.
NAMES
Broccoli belong to the bothanical family of Brassicaceae. The Latin name for this variety is Brassica Oleracea Italica.
TASTE
Broccoli has a taste a little stronger than fully grown, raw broccoli. It is similar to lightly cooked, crisp broccoli heads.
LOOKS
Broccoli are just 10 cm long as sprouts from root tip to leaf top. As microgreens they are 15 cm long. They are green and white.
NUTRIENTS
Broccoli microgreens and sprouts contain the nutrients: A, B, C, E, K and Potassium, Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Phosphorus.
EDIBLE PARTS
Broccoli sprouts and microgreens form root hairs that resemple mould. Do not worry. They are just roots and you can eat the whole plant inkl the roots.
TIME
Broccoli sprouts take 6 days from seed to edible sprout. As microgreens they take 12 days from seed to microgreens ready for harvest and serving.
How to grow Broccoli Sprouts and Microgreens

Measure out the right amount of your organic Broccoli seeds. Each half of the SproutPearl needs 4 gram seeds.

Soak the Broccoli seeds in fresh, cold, drinking water in a clean glass for 8 hours. Place it in shade in your kitchen.

Pour the Broccoli seeds into your SproutPearl seed tray after soaking and rinse with clean, cool water.

Put the seed tray into the SproutPearl and place it on your clean kitchen counter out of hot sun or cold draft.

Rinse your Broccoli seeds and plants every morning and evening, until they are at your desired growth stage.

Your Broccoli sprouts are mature after 6 days. Your Broccoli microgreens are ready for harvest after 14 days.
Tips for your Broccoli Sprouts and Microgreens
MOULDY ROOTS
Broccoli develop fluffy, fine and thin roots. This resemble mould for the first 2-4 days of growth.
But do not worry. They are just a sign that your sprouts are healthy and have enough moisture. The roots are edible.
PRECISE SEED AMOUNT
Broccoli only thrive, when you let them have enough room around each plant for them to evaporate excess moisture.
