MICROGREEN PLANT LIGHT BULB
Plant Light Bulb is a white Microgreen LED growth light bulb. It is essential for growing your microgreens in your indoor kitchen. This is because microgreen plants need bright light for their photosynthesis to grow well. If you leave out a growth bulb or grolys for your microgreens, your microgreens will:
- become long and ruffled in the stem.
- will not taste as good as the plants could taste.
- grow much slower than necessary.
- could not give you the full benefits of plant nutrients.
So I highly recommend that if you want to grow your sprouts on to the larger micro green, then you give yourself the pleasure of illuminating your plants well with a growth bulb.
IS SUN NOT GOOD FOR MICRO-GREEN?
The short answer is: No. The reason is that sunlight in summer is too strong and hot for the young, vulnerable plants. Direct sun will simply scorch the plants. In winter, on the other hand, the sun is far too weak and promotes too few hours to provide enough light for your micro green.
Artificial light from a good growth bulb to micro green in your kitchen, on the other hand, is easy to control for you. With a plant bulb, you can give your microgreens plants 8-16 hours of strong light all year round without the plants sweating from heat.
PLANT BULB FOR SPROUTS, HERBS AND MICROGREENS
Sprouts are the first small growth stage of your plants. You can harvest sprouts either with a short root or when they unfold their small cotyledons. If you only grow sprouts, you do not need a growth bulb.
A growth bulb, on the other hand, is always necessary if you grow microgreens. The plants turn into micro-green if they grow further beyond the stage of germinating with cotyledons. The transition takes place around day 7 of the growth. You can tell microgreens that the plants have unfolded their first true set of leaves. That is, the first set of leaves after the cotyledons. At this stage of the plant’s life, they simply need bright light to be able to convert the nutrients from fertilizer to roots, stems and leaves.
WHEN SHOULD YOU GIVE MICROGREEN GROWTH LIGHT?
Microgreens need growth light from the time they show the first small true leaves inside between the cotyledons. It happens around day 7 of growth. If your plants have grown cool, you will find that they grow slower than in heat. Therefore, it is easiest to keep an eye on the development of your plants.
