Vitamins and minerals in Crimson clover
Crimson clover Microgreens are very nutritious on minerals. They contain the vitamins: A, B3, C, K and the minerals Potassium, Iron, Calcium, Copper, Magnesium, Zinc, Phosphorus, Manganese.
Thin roots on clover
Crimson clover is thicker and more sturdy than Red clover. It is still a good idea to rinse your clover with care to make sure, the plants do not break. I recommend that you either rinse with a thin water stream or put an Faucet Aerator on your water tap. Both will ease the water jet and ease the pressure on these fragile sprouts. As they grow larger or into microgreens, they will be strong enough to withstand more water pressure.
Taste and use in food
Your home-grown microgreens of Crimson clover have a lovely taste like the inner parts of iceberg salad. This goes for both sprouts and microgreens. The mild lettuce taste makes these plants very easy to use in any dish where you feel the need for a substitute for traditional green salad leaves. I especially like to use them in sandwiches, green salads, dips and wraps. But they also go very well as an extra filling in smoothies or juices.
Cultivation time of organic Crimson Clover seeds for Microgreens
You can grow your organic Crimson clover seeds into either sprouts or microgreens. If your kitchen temperature is 18-23 ° C / 64-73 ° F, your Crimson clover sprouts should be ready for harvest after 6 days of cultivation. At the same temperature, they should have grown to mature microgreens after a total of 12 days.
Cultivation device for Clover microgreens
Crimson clover sprouts can grow in any sprouting device. The longer Clover Microgreens will, however, give the best result in a SproutPearl sprouter or a Hemp mat. This is because these two methods let the plants get plenty of room to grow and ventilation around the plant tops.

Paulette –
I have tried both the red clover and this crimson. I personally prefer the slight ‘edge’ in taste that crimson have as I use it in salads rather than smoothies that you recommend too. Just sharing 🙂
